While there, I saw that ugly WRB WRX with the 9-2x front end, and I have to say that its just as ugly in person biggrin

I'll have to read that article later. I was pumped to see a couple old Saabs cruising the course.

The ugly wrx was working the rally. I didn't see it in person but I did see it on my friend's dash cam. The other Saab was in the house for a while too but left because there weren't enough beds.

Fuck me, not going to be there this year. We thought the early bird entry ended yesterday, but it was actually June 20th. The price jumped from $800 to $1200. Looks like we are only running in Canada this summer, may try another in the Fall.

I'll be there. I was also thinking about volunteering, they are still taking applications. Last year a bunch of people decided not to show up, it's almost guaranteed you will get in if you register.

You are confused, my friend. It wasn't the Saab that hit that corner. It was this:

Unfortunately I didn't have my other camera recording then. mad I remember that moment very well.

Sometimes, when you are looking through the lens of a camera, you forget you are standing directly in the path of destruction. Right from the start, I could tell the driver had chosen the wrong line.

This is when I duck and cover. Driver hit the RRear quarter, full on. Moved the barrier I was taking cover behind a good 2ft back. eek
I placed the camera I took the rest of the videos from, about 3 ft back from this impact point. Nobody else hit the guard rail, but this guy came bloody close:

I am pretty sure the Z will be there, but I can't make it. It we have a family reunion this weekend. I do need to get back up there. Maybe next year I will skip the reunion again.
