Is this the rally in Maine?

I think its in ME and NH actually haha. Sunday River is hosting the event and is in ME but it also says Errol, NH. Errol is right on the border. My family used to have a camparound there, right on lake Umbagog (greatest name ever haha)
Here's the link:

The New England Forest Rally (NEFR) is a two-day motorsports event headquartered at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine, that will take place Friday July 13th and Saturday the 14th 2012. In addition to spectator race stages taking place right at the ski area, additional spectator areas include the Mexico Recreation Area in Mexico, ME, locations in and around Errol, NH, and other sites across Western Maine and Northern New Hampshire. 2012 promises to be an unforgettable event! Stay tuned as we add information about the competitors, exciting activities for spectators, the stages, the sponsors and exhibitors, and more!

We've camped at the Adventure Center or whatever it's called in Bethel. It's right down the road from Sunday River, which is important because the brew pub is nearby.
The bugs are AMAZINGLY thick. Holy crap.
Volunteer to work the event if you can. It's a ton of fun, although I'm really hoping for a miracle to get my rally car back up to snuff and compete there this year (again).

Thanks for the advice man! And yes that is very important!
I was thinking of volunteering but I didn't know if I wanted to since I am going with a group of people. Maybe I will though.
Uh oh sorry to hear that.... whats going on with it?

The gearbox ate 4th gear at LSPR last fall. The parts to fix it aren't really available anymore, so we threw together a stock box for SnoDrift.
If I'm going to get my ass handed to me by Chris Duplessis, I at least to minimize the bruising.
I've always wanted to take an extra day in the area and do some paddling. If you have time, it sure looks like there is plenty to explore.

Also, just checked out your site... cool stuff.

Anybody going this year!?
I reserved a campsite at Bethel Outdoor Adventure (thanks for the advice bentmettle). I'm heading up with five others Friday night (wish I could get friday off) and staying until Sunday.
Maybe some other 'ers will be there?

I will be there as part of the crew for this car.
I don't know where I am staying, I just know that several of the teams have already rented a house and I get to stay for free. I am heading up Thursday afternoon.

That's awesome! I'm sure you will get the full experience by doing things that way.
Maybe we'll run into each other at some point. I'll be looking for ya!

Cool, it should be a good time. Once I get my phone situation straightened out I will send you my number in case we don't see each other. I will have the up there too.

Change of plans. I will be heading up Thursday morning but will not have the with me. I am riding up with the driver.

I'm very jealous that you are heading up so early.
See you there!

Nice, I have known him for years, I play volleyball with him. Whenever I need to work on the I normally end up in his garage. His gf was supposed to be his co-driver for this but the last time they tried it, it didnt work out so well for her. So her and I will be his crew, his co-driver is coming in from Mich. What did you drive?

Passed a Camper truck towing a rallying Porsche up to that area today. I've never seen a Porsche sit so high off the ground. Looked pretty bad ass.

I found my new favorite driver while I was there this weekend
