I thought the 9-2x was supposed to be a preemptive strike against the 1 series and A3?

Saab is thinking about producing a vehicle that would go head-to-head with the Audi A-3 and the BMW 1-series
Aren't we already driving that? At least I thought the 9-2x was in the same class as atleast the A3.

Which makes it a competitor against the 1-series. Also the Volvo S40/V40.
BUT, if the 9-2X doesn't sell (which it doesn't) then it's hardly a competitor, is it?

Maybe from the ssles POV, but things look different at the checkered flag.

That was quoted from a European source. The 92x doesn't sell in Europe so it doesn't compete there. I wish BMW would bring the 1-series here.

Makes sense that next 9-2x comes from GM Europe, since FHI is out of the picture now.

sometimes it does get on my nerves to be so ignored by the rest of the family. even the 9-7x is available in belgium now from an independent provider thru SAAB dealers. I did not expect to be that bad of a black sheep.

The car that doesnt sell vs. the car that we can't have 
Its a close race, but I think the saab is winning by about 10k units in the US.
