Had a brief but nasty storm roll through about an hour ago. It downed a tree in my back yard and across a railroad. Lots of lightening and down lines and trees across the state, NY and soon to be NH

We just had some crazy thunder roll through Philly. There was hardly any rain, no visible lightning, just ominous thunder. My breakfast came out to being $6.66 this morning, so I was thinking the devil was coming for me today.

I'm in my friends wedding tomorrow. Most of it will be inside, but the pictures are going to be outside, probably mid-afternoon, in Philly.

rode my motorcycle to a rally, sweated my ass off the whole time. Continued sweating through the rally. Sweat the entire way to the lake house afterwards. Passed out in front of the AC for a night. Rode home in torrential rain (and heard of quarter size hail not far behind me...)
now i'm sitting in my apt sweating (just sitting here)

While I am quite a bit inland, the path is projected to run right through my neck of the woods tomorrow. Gonna finish up my coffee and go bring all the random shit in my lawn to the garage, string up the acoustic and hit the packy for a big old bottle of Maker's Mark and ride this one out.

Right then. Right now it's not raining but there is still occasional lightening and thunder. Saw a crazy lighting show on the drive home.

I went riding up at Stowe on Thanksgiving, and the conditions were awesome for a first day on the hill. I honestly can't believe that their lift is still turning today...

I was just in the neighborhood of Stowe buying some new(to me) skis. From what I could see down on the road it looked like they still had decent trail coverage. In a few days my new boots and bindings will be here then we should hit the trails sometime.
* Once it starts being winter again...

Had our first good snow event today that caused interstate closures and accidents. It took me 2 hours to drive a ~30 mile round trip(normally 15min there 15min back). In that time I saw about 50 cars and a dozen TT units off the roads or involved in accidents.
Getting my new bindings mounted tomorrow

An ever so slightly used set of Atomic Sugar Daddy's. Some tiny woman had them for powder skiing but realized they were WAY too big for her.

Anyone Prepping for Sandy? The weather folk at my station won't yet say it on the air, but they're leading us to believe it's going to hit hard. Vermont may go into State of Emergency tomorrow(still undecided by the Gov.) and we're not even in the bulls-eye this time.

mostly preparing for local flooding and power outages. Outside of the probable main wind/rain bands, but will likely get several days of heavy rain, which is following several days of moderate rain. Fortunately, most of the leaves are already down.
