I've not changed the oil on the 92x myself.

If the plug is a harder metal than the oil pan (is it aluminum?) then you stripped the oil pan threads. Your only hope is to get the hole re-tapped somewhere and get a corresponding thread plug to put into the new hole.

Or order a new oil drain pan, I have a feeling that'd be really expensive 

Cause I read the complete noob guide to doing oil changes, and they said to torque it to 33 ft lbs

did you read the directions on how to use the torque wrench???
I've bought one from harbor freight a while ago and it worked fine.
It clicks slightly when it reaches the correct torque....why the hell did you feel the need to tighten it like crazy?

Sounds like operator error to me...
Sorry to hear of your troubles....
A shop may be able to re-tap the pan and fix you up but if I were the shop I would worry about liability if the drain plug doesnt hold, and they are responsible for replacing your engine...

My oil plug was a little weird when I first got the car but it seems fine now. I've never actually torque'd my plug, I just make it tight, but I also put a crush washer on it too to make sure there are no leaks. Oil changes are a sinch. Royal Purple 5w30 ftw.
