Alright some of mine have already been put up, but here are some of my favorites that aren't up there yet.
My Favorite Plane of all time, F4U Corsair:
More planes! Hawker Seafury:
F-86 Sabre:
C-17 Globemaster III
and my favorite military trainer, T-6 Texan:
All plane pics were taken by me. Now for some guns, obviously not taken by me.
Browning M1918 BAR:
MG 42:
And my favorite fighting group of the US military, the Tuskegee Airmen, P-51C (RIP George A. Taylor 1919 ~ 2008)
And last an awesome pic I took of another favorite plane of mine, P-51D:

Some of our best technology, including better efficient engines and power resources come from military technology. And if we dont invest in that, other countries blow us up and all the sustainable energy in the world doesn't mean jack.
And I dont want to shit on this thread, so here's my contribution: Mission MPK-Ti, Navy Seal Issue
a good save, how often we forget how effective and life saving the basic's are

You should submit the cropped version of the P-51 to AvWeb's Picture of the Week. They'd love it.

Love the A-10 and F-15.
The place I went to summer camp was surrounded on three sides by steep mountain ranges and a river on the 4th. NAS Whidbey used to send their birds down to use our bridge as a target and then go screaming up and out of the canyon. Was always loud as hell and usually quite a show. If you heard them before you saw them, you weren't gonna see nothing.
Colb, which summer camp did you go to up here? I miss seeing those birds.

Maybe some of us dont "conveniently forget about the 100,000s of people employed by defense subcontractors"-- rather some of us with a brain say: Boy, Imagine if those people instead put their time and effort and knowledge and those trillions of dollars to work with, let's say-- sustainable energy, or, more efficient energy production-- be it in vehicles, delivery, technology, etc...
Most of our defense concerns center on energy. Protecting it, ensuring it, worrying about it... It would be sooo much more efficient to focus some of those dollars on energy itself.
+1. Lets invest that defense $$ into not trying to blow up everywhere else and be the bully, but what it we actually call it "Defense". Not "Offense"
But yea, Sooo on the A10. Used to see them flying by all the time, no so much anymore though.
Oh, and a:

LCACs blow balls in really choppy big waves...especially when they break down and you and 24 other guys with gear and packs are crammed into a AAV that lashed to the deck Navy ftl lol

It really is amazing though, can hit some crazy high speeds carrying an M1 abrams over rough chop...then continue going inland if needed. Loud as hell too

I will have to post some pictures of my Trebuchet. It will throw a 10lb pumpkin 1500'.

That's impressive
A couple years back me and a buddy of mine drew up plans to make a treb with a 6' high A frame. We did all the math and even made a couple scale models as proof of concepts. Maybe if you post some pictures it will spark me to get back onto that project
