We've all seen it, some love it, some hate it, but I can't stop looking at it. The cars are getting closer in shape/size to the 9-2x, and this one has really got me thinking...
... I wonder what the 9-2x would look like... Price isn't too terrible for a vinyl wrap, and it'll save the paint for a few years from any scratches...
EDIT: Clarification, I'm talking about vinyl wrap, not a paint job.

That you should have searched the old threads before posting.
I did, but no one has talked about actually doing it to their 9-2x. Vinyl wraps are < $400...

<$400 for the material, sure. quite a bit more than that for install labor.

Absolutely perfect drop, no stupid camber and tire stretching. I like it.

Add some light tint and you have an incredible car.

This must be expensive to install. It also must be difficult to clean, and keep clean, right?

More like $2000-3000 for a decent wrap job.
And if I was wrapping, matte white only.

I think a 9-2x in matte black or matte gun metal would look absolutely awesome. I'd be more than happy to do it, but don't want to put up the cash.

Carbon Fiber Wrap for the win!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be doing my front bumper and license plate area in matte black... I might just pick up a few extra yards and try some stuff out.
How hard can it be?

All I can say is wait for warmer weather and have your heat gun ready plus an extra hand to help stretch and hold while you squeegee the thing!
That Audi isn't wrapped tho. If it were, you would see seams all over the place. Vinyl stretches to fit over compound curves but you couldn't/wouldn't do an entire front bumper or back end without seams. Even the hood would be tough without a seam on the raised area.

it's wrapped. a professional install won't have seams.

Is there adhesive on the back of the vinyl? How difficult is removal?

Do it.

Can I just get this out there already...? Agressive as matte black may be, IT HAS NO CLASS.

Class? It's a fuckin' silent ninja. A shadow in the night. All black everything.

Is that related to your study of semen @ RIT?
