I have tried hard over the past few years to keep them clean but they are stating to show some mild staining/dirt. What is the best way to clean our seats? I think most of the dirty is from putting my sons book bag on it - guess I need to put a towel down.
What has worked for you guys?

Mr Clean Stain Eraser. Found out on my friend's Astro that it even removes bicycle chain grease COMPLETELY from cloth auto upholstery. The scary part is it cleans so well that you have to do the ENTIRE section or it looks like you just cleaned a stain. Best part, it doesn't even get things really wet.

I usually use STP tuff stuff as well. I think i will try both of these other products as they both sound as good or better than the Tuff Stuff that i think works rather well.

you spray them on, let it sit for a little, then blot up with a towel. or scrub if they're persistent.

detail guys at work said they use nothing but premixed degreaser for the whole interiors. always look amazing. still afraid to try it on my own though

i used to use that too. engine bay, carpets, trunk, seats, stuff was cool. then i couldn't get it locally, and shipping the gallon sucked. so i stuck with the 303 stuff, which is just much more convenient for me.

I got mine steam cleaned at the local car wash. $20 and the seats were spotless. I assume that you could rent the equipment and solvent.

Bissell's Little Grean Clean Machine with standard dilution of carpet cleaning solultion. i got grease from work gloves on passenger seat. sprayed, scubbed and vacuumed with same head and the next morning everything was clean and dry, no rings.

my latest fav cleaner for grease and tough stains
oxy clean dilute 50/50 spray lightly and let it sit a minute
cheapest shaving cream - it will lift the stain and use a vacuum and its done
smells good too
may have a clean spot and may require cleaning of the remaining seat to blend

I'm still a firm believer of this product. Started using it on the dash and door panels as well, leaves no residue nor any shiny, maintains that matte finish and cleans everything. And my seats look brand new every time, there hasn't been a spot that I wasn't able to clean with it. And cheap too, about $4 at your local Walmart.

yeah i like the stuff and when the two cans that i have run out i think i'm going to try something else.

Hello,
If your car seat is of clothing, the material then I have a very best and easy solution for you:
Use a baking soda solution. Mix ΒΌ cup of baking soda with a cup of warm water, then use a light layer of the solution and a toothbrush to scrub away the stain. If the stain is difficult, let the solution sit for around 30 minutes.
