Re: Post your Dyno Graphs

Sorry for the crappy pic.  The numbers that are covered are the averages.  The middle column is max. Mods are: Cobb AP, Stromung Shorty DP, STI Uppipe, STI axle back, Cobb Pulley, Prodrive IC hose.  This dyno result is on a Cobb stage 2 91 v130 base map.  The Protune with Christian did not result in more power so we went back to the stock map- these are the results.

Dyno Dynamics "heartbreaker" is no joke..  Looks like it's time to pitch the stock exhaust..   eek

Also, looking at it, my boost response isn't what it has been..  Could just be the heat, but I tend to doubt it..

For History sake mods were:

EJ205,VF34,Blues,BKR7ES,Invidia UP,Generic Down,Stock CBE,Generic TMIC,Custom I/C Sprayers, Walbro

Re: Post your Dyno Graphs

arrow-up Does the autotragic suffer more drivetrain losses than the 5spd?  I pulled 199hp/200tq running a Cobb OTS map.  The only difference in our set up is my Cobb Uppipe.

Re: Post your Dyno Graphs

And to compare with Dutchman's dyno, we are almost running the same setup:

COBB Accessport v1 Engine Management
COBB catted downpipe
Prodrive 3-Port Boost Solenoid
STi uppipe
STi axleback+ midpipe
Rallitek 4eat Tranny mount
93 octane fuel

Tuned by Jorge at P&L Motorsports, December 2007, and I'm loving every minute of it.  roxor driving

216.73 whp / 211.80 wtq

It was one of my favorite mods to be honest, not only is the power more linear and smoother, I know all my mods are running safely.  banana

Re: Post your Dyno Graphs

The altitude and fuel difference, and Dyno Dynamics Dyno make that look about right.  What's your peak boost Dutch?  Does the car feel smoother?

Peak boost is like 15.5 I believe. The car feels A LOT smoother! Harvey said the Cobb OTS map was not so bad but his tune is a lot safer and I got some pretty decent power gains out of it. When Harvey would let the car sit for a little while and cool down I was hitting 200whp/210wtq.

Scott-What kind of dyno was that on? If it was a Dynojet then I'm thinking that's why. From what I've read (and that's been a lot as of late) Dynojets read quite a bit higher. I talked to Harvey a little to about that and he tried to play it off but in not so many words he said the same thing.

E85 of course.  Was hoping for higher HP numbers but I guess torque is what counts more.

Do you have any indication if or where the converter locks up on that run?  I can see the higher stall generating those huge whltq numbers, but I guess what I'm getting at is that if you're not locked up later in the trace, you could be losing (not seeing) your horsepower numbers - that is,

Was hoping for higher HP numbers

Your HP numbers listed may on the low side, losing some efficiency through slip in the converter, while your engine is making more.   confused  Just thinking out loud...

Re: Post your Dyno Graphs

arrow-up Not to criticize, but that is a choppy curve it looks like. He should be able to squeeze a little more out, but also be able to smooth that curve out a bit. It also looks like it is not holding boost into the upper RPMs, causing the sharper downward angle of the torque curve, should be flatter... just my thinkings. Good luck though.
