Just got my "Black Mica" 9-2x with no packages today. Even with measly 16" tires, she handles great. AWD is very fun to drive.

The car just sticks like glue around the curves.

Now, if I can juuust get past that break-in period...

Hey Joe, what a cool little car huh?    I havent driven my Viper since I got my 92x a month ago......Every time a go for a drive, I cant pass up driving the little Saab. I suppose I better take the snake out for a spin this weekend...

Coming from BMW myself, as much as I like the ability to get on the gas sooner in a corner...I think it still needs some stiffining. (this is just me) I had my 328 set up as close to (and possibly stiffer in various aspects) as an M. (Autox ready), Actually the guy who bought it off me was going to use it for that very purpose, school and track only.

So just maybe I've got to start looking for an excellent coil over system for the 92x...Somthing that is eaisly adjusted for the (2) seasons we have here in Upstate NY,,, Freeze your butt off winter and sweat your arse off summer....

This is a great thread. I always wondered how BMW drivers feel about this car. I had a 2000 Celica GTS and I think it handles better in some ways with the AWD. At least the steering is better.

I've driven my fair share of BMWs (93 325, 98 325, 01 323, 03 323, 05 323 <- all convertibles, M roadster, 95 M3 coupe, 99 and 04 M3 convertibles) and think this is a very interesting comparison. On the one hand you've got a whole slew of rear-wheel drive cars that have a significant amount of torque from their inline 6's and therfore you have to be concerned about traction and wheel spin. These cars always required finese and a real since of what the rear-end was doing in the corners. Whereas with the 9-2x I can just point it in the direction that I want it to go, floor it, and it goes. My 9-2x only responds with all four wheels squealing and slipping when it can't give me any more G's through a turn, so I back off a bit and it continues to plow through a turn.

So Joe ///M, if you like to get the rear-end to swing out you're going to be hard pressed to do so with this car. Be prepared for four wheel drifts instead of two.

Drifiting is good fun, but you lose too much speed through the turn.  Try trail braking into the turn to lighten the rear.  You can get the weight to shift to the front which will give you a controlled rotation as you ease back on the throttle through the apex.
