I learned stick this weekend!

Picked it up in about 10 minutes on a friends' Mazda 3. Now I won't look like a jackass when I go to pick up my new MT Aero tomorrow smile

Re: I learned stick this weekend!

I learned stick on a Mazda3 when I bought the car. It was a great car to learn with. The transmission was smooth.

Re: I learned stick this weekend!

Congrats, took me a lot longer than 10 minutes to not feel like a jackass with the 5-speed. Like purduealum said, it's a good thing you went for the 5-speed. This car really was meant to have a manual transmission...not to mention you'll be having much more fun while driving it!

Re: I learned stick this weekend!

I wish it had been offered in a 6 speed, but i've had 5 speeds since my first jeep which i learned on. It was easy to learn on b.c you couldn't stall it out everything was geared so low.  But it was not nearly as easy to drive as a car with a  5 speed. lol.

it's the bumping of these old threads ... It's lame.  If you want to go bump 2/3yr old threads, than go to NASIOC OT and do it  roll

I love browsing the old threads.  Sorry if it annoys you, but we've all got our own preferences.   smile

Re: I learned stick this weekend!

Browsing and bumping old threads ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.

Then browse ... don't bump  roll

And bumping 1 or 2 in the same of silliness is fine ... But bumping a lot = lame.
