Went stage 1 yesterday...

Went stage 1 yesterday and it's been awesome.  Had my girlfriend with me today to read the boost levels and was hitting a top boost of 14.2 psi.  I'm running on the stage 1 california base/realtime map.  I'm really happy with the accessport so far, but was wondering what other people's boost have been hitting with stage 1 in california?

Re: Went stage 1 yesterday...

The Stage 1 California map isn't one that comes pre-loaded on the AP.  You have to download it from the Cobb website and then transfer it to your AP using the map management software:

http://www.cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessport/

It's the map that's second from the bottom.  I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, since I never loaded the normal stage 1 map.  If you load up the california one, I'd be curious if you notice any differences.

Re: Went stage 1 yesterday...

Oh, I'll have to download the map and switch from my current map to the "CA" map.  I'll let you guys know if there's any big difference.

First I have to let the ECU re-learn everything, I got a CEL last night and had to reset the ECU....I forgot to plug back in the EVAP when I swapped the rear anti-sway bar.  OOPS tongue

Re: Went stage 1 yesterday...

I'm getting an error message "ERROR: unable to transfer map file to AP.  REASON: Map file is invalid (wrong version of map/accesport)

Does that mean I have to upload the 2005 upgrade?

Re: Went stage 1 yesterday...

In order to upgrade the AP software to 2005, you'd have to unmarry the accessport by reflashing your car back to stock, then upgrading the AP software, then reflashing the ECU to stage 1 again.  If you don't feel like doing all that, you can probably download the 2004 version of the stage 1 cali map instead.
