rims for my car?

so i saw this pic on clubwrx.net

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/ … C00438.jpg

and now im reconsidering if i want to save for some nice rims for my car...because i know i need new tires soon, so i could get the rims with my tires...and it would definetly give my car a more unique look to it in terms of driving and having people see my car..

I hate having a car that is so 'normal', i am not 'ricer' or whatnot, i just think a nice addition to my car couldnt hurt.

If i dont get rims, i can save more for track time..but we'll see, i think i could manage buying a set of rims..

Are those regulation issue Subaru STi wheels?

Those look like either Rota Formula or BBS wheels.  Nice choice.

I'm looking at the Formels or the Sub-Zeros (16.2 lb) with machined lip myself.  Do you have a weight on the Formels in 17?

Re: rims for my car?

I have the Sub Zero's in a gunmetal with polished lip on my Prelude right now in a 17x7.5 +48mm offset 235/40/17 and they weigh in around 16.9 lbs. They are definitely light. These come with the 5 lug universal pattern. When I get my 9-2X hopefully sometime this week as I ordered it last Wednesday, I'm gonna see how the fitment of those are on my 9-2X. They have a higher offset so the wider tire may work, but I'm nowhere near familiar with the Saabaru so they may be too wide. I went from a 205/50/16 on the Lude to a 235/40/17 with no rubbing issues at all. It just depends on the offset of the wheel and the width as well.

Re: rims for my car?
