Is getting the underside of my Saab treated with oil worth it?

I sold off one of my 92xs this past spring because the rust was starting to show. My southern Saab still looks great, and am thinking about getting the underside treated with oil (about $200).  This is just oil, not the oil and wax I've also read about.  Is it worth it to treat my car with oil (they do it at their site, so no mess for me - just my cash and some smell)?  I'm in northern New York, so lots of snow and salt   banghead.
