STI short shift ?

I'm looking to improve sloppy shifter and have seen posts recommending STI short shifter but I don't know where to find one . FastWRX had one listed weeks ago but its gone . 2005 9-2x Aero going in for headlight and fog light replacement and he can do a shifter the same day if I can find one .
Any other suggestions gladly considered but please add info on where to look .

Re: STI short shift ?

I had a Kartboy shifter in mine.

Not sure what shape your transmission mount is in but if it's gotten soft, a Group N mount should help tighten things up too.

Re: STI short shift ?

Does this replace the bushings etc or just the stick ?
I have a lot of "side slop" and it is noticeably worse than my 2006 Forester beater car .

Re: STI short shift ?

As I recall, that was just the stick.  I did replace bushings too.  It was a long time ago, but there might be four bushings.  I know I replaced at least a pair of bushings.  I think they were machined from delrin.

Re: STI short shift ?

there is a joint assembly and some other bushings, go all OEM for that.

and then the shift post itself, you could go Kartboy which is a solid choice. there was a factory option short shifter assembly but those are hard to find
