NEW member, NEW saab

Well let me start with a hello! I'm new here, and new to Subaru -*cough*- I mean Saab.

I didn't originally know about these cars. I had a 2012 Chevy Sonic, was my daily for a 500mile weekly trip, I owned that car for almost 2 years and in that time i had to replace trans (poor thing actually had the main shaft come through a defective bellhousing), clutch, rear main, fix every coolant leak point. My ownership of this car ended abruptly as a local tire shop ignored my requests, along with a TSB, about new tires being on the rear. This car hydroplaned into a power pole at a sub station and flipped upon breaking the pole.  This left me with an insurance payout, my savings and a paycheck. I had at this point decided I wanted awd and a manual. So SUBARU so I messaged every seller within 1000 miles that was within my budget of $4300, (tbh i tried to stay near the 3k mark and i found a hawkeye in Florida for 3900 and because of the distance I had gotten the price down to $3000 agreed on a Saturday pickup and low and behold it was sold Friday. Unfortunately not to me, but I still had a buddy's future wife willing to drive 1400 miles round trip and in my listings I kept seeing this NA hawkeye. Front badge was weird in the thumbnail so I opened it. Ad had a misspelling "2006 Saabaru 2.5i". I thought well I am from Alabama so can't judge a car by the ad's spelling. I called, $3800 was not what I was willing to pay but the car was only 3.5 hours away, 175mi. Downside, I had no car needed one for monday and this one had 2 out of 3 requirements I wanted.

Guy on the phone agreed to meet me the next day at his lot and off we went. I arrived driving my ride, (she asked me to please drive and I had already told her I can so the ride back wouldn't be so bad. Which I love to drive lol), A young guy comes out talks with me and we take The Saab out on a test. Used lot, claims to be repo auction lot, sales guy only lets me drive a mile roughly one block. No check engine light, car feels pretty good no wobbles, did the head wipe check when we got back only thing found was a valve cover leak. I walked in to lot owner told him I'd give 3 for it with the broken windshield and that I had a long haul home. So I didn't want to not have fuel for 2 cars plus emergency tow cash. We exchanged numbers and taxes and title fees included I got out short of 3300. No fuel obviously so got directions to a station and went to fuel up. Headed back down the highway to I65 and about 50 miles into the trip CEL pops on. I don't have my scanner so I stop and get a free code pull, intake timing actuator bank 2 intermitant signal. Great the side with the bad valve cover gasket. Drive again heading home car runs fine nothing apparently wrong. Get on interstate and my friend decides lets haul ass home and leaves me for a moment or two before she slows back down. By that time I fly by her going 90ish because I had lost her in traffic and wanted to be close in case of issues with either car. About 100 miles into the trip home I hear bad scraping noises. I pull into a rest area she keeps going as I'm only 70 miles from home she is 20 miles.

Splash shield no clips one ziptie later i'm back on the road but i realize the car is a year and 6000 miles over due for an oil change after I put the visor up. Well F***.... I decide screw it I'm tired don't want to wait drive 20 more miles and pull into a Walmart service center, walk in Lady tells me no more synthetic. I bought some Mobile 1 off the shelf and a filter and had it done. Last service was conventional according to sticker and part numbers. I'm a mechanic every day of the week for a living so doing it myself wasn't an issue. My issue that day was I didn't want to wait and the car had made it this far with the wrong/old oil. May as well handle it before I break down just outside of town. No issues I crawled under the car double checked the drain plug and filter perfectly tight, got in put the paperwork in the glovebox with the owners manual and drove home. Following Monday after work I used the lift and serviced my trans and rear diff.

I got curious about the owners manual and wanted to know the features better opened it and bam service history, nearly complete for the life of the car. Here it is listed below with what can be read from handwriting and faded ink:
