I was looking for the 92x chrome lettering...

...because my 9 fell off (!! - fess up, who took it?).  Anyway, no luck with anyone parting out on this site, and nothing on ebay, so took a chance on a 9-3 lettering.  I'd read there were different sizes, but I lucked out - the big 9 fits exactly where the old one rested (the outline is there, and it's a match).  I guess I already lucked out that the 9 fell off, and not the 2 or x.  Now just have to wait util the temp in northern NY gets above frigid...   (also, I'll move this to another subject if it doesn't belong under for sale/wanted).

Thought about it.  My silver one is, and it's a much smoother look.  How does one remove the "glue" residue from the paint without messing up the paint?

I think most use Goo-Gone, but you can use WD-40 too. I believe 3M makes an adhesive remover wheel that you stick in the end of a power drill and then run it over the offending areas. I personally haven't used it before but the videos that I've seen show it working pretty well. Of course, YMMV.

Re: I was looking for the 92x chrome lettering...

Traded in the 2005 92x MT two weeks ago, and just "chased" it via VIN and deserve zero forgiveness facepalm; she deserved better than a swap at the stealership. I will forever live in shame...

Regardless, Full chrome "9-2x Aero" (emblem, badge, lettering) with zero defects up for grabs. PM me for how you want to work out getting it out of my sight and mind.

I have three sets of new letters.  They come with the little Styrofoam spacing to ensure you put them on correct.  I suppose I could sell one...
What?  I like having backup parts.   roll

Re: I was looking for the 92x chrome lettering...

As a follow-up, I went out to the driveway this morning, and the snowbank had melted down enough that I spied the missing 9!!  I might have brushed it off clearing the car of snow some wintery morning.  So now I have two 9's (the 9-3 one is the same size EXCEPT it is raised just a bit higher).  Still waiting for warm enough weather to apply it back on.
