What's needed to make heated seats work in non-heated car?

I got a pair of front heated 9-2x seats and the center console switches and the plugs that go under the seats. I thought all Aero's were pre-wired the same regardless of packages but when I looked under my console there was nada.  banghead

I'm guessing I'd need a relay and some harness at a minimum.

my linear looks prewired... probably doesnt have the heating element in the seat and there are no switches probably no fuses or relays either but the wiring is at least there

Do you have two plugs under the blanks where the seat heater switches are located otherwise?

Re: What's needed to make heated seats work in non-heated car?

Digging this post up. I have a Linear with no options. However, I bought some Aero leather seats a while back, which have the heating elements. I would really like to get my heated seats working in the winter, what do I need? I cant find any reliable information. I know I need the switches. What else do I need, I cant even find the switches anywhere either, can I use a Subaru part?

Found them, but holy FUCK!

92X 2004-2007 Seat Heater  Switch Driver OES      32008625       $ 61.94        Buy Now

92X 2004-2007 Seat Heater Switch Passenger OES     32008624      $ 61.94       Buy Now

is there a comparable Subaru part?... which is cheaper?

Re: What's needed to make heated seats work in non-heated car?

You need to buy a relay, it has a mechanical part inside that clicks on/off. You can get it from a junk yard, Carquest (PN: RY612), or a 2001 ford focus fog lamp circuit. This relay will plug into your factory relay block which is right behind the fuse block by your left knee, at a location labeled HTR. There is a factory blue power wire that goes from the relay block to a harness (B97) located at the passenger kick panel area. You need to find this blue wire, splice it and connect to one of the four contacts on the seat heater switches, then run wires from the other three contacts to each of the underseat heater harness.

Ideally you should have these parts:
1. Relay x1
2. Heater switch x2
3. Heater switch connector x2
4. Underseat heater harness x2

I'll see if I still have the wiring diagram.

no dice on the diagram? These are the much cheaper subuaru part numbers:

83075FA000 right side ~ $42
83075FA010 left side ~ $42

I figured since i have my hole dash apart for my viper install I might as well do the heated seats too.
