Loss of power and a rumbling noise at low rpm prob spark plug?

Ok so now I have check engine light that flashes and sometimes stays on. Loss of power and chugging feeling after shifting. I am guessing spark plug🤞 But was wondering if I need to mess with/ change coil packs as well. 05 92-x aero

I had a spakplug back out enough to throw codes and make a nasty sound, but you'll need to pull the coil packs to check the plugs. Unless you changed them recently get new ones, when you have the coilpacks out you can inspect them. If a particular cylinder is throwing codes you can move the coilpacks and see if the code follows it. And be aware the torque for the plugs is really really low.

You need to get the codes read.  Worn spark plugs and neglected ignition system can cause problems though.  You can pull one of the easy ones to get to and take a look at it.  If the gap and color are okay chances are the rest of the plugs are fine as well.  My first Subaru was a 2.5RS and it ran terrible when I got it at 133k miles - no flashing check engine though.  The plugs had a 0.080" gap which is twice the specification.  A new set of plugs and plug wires and the car ran much better.

Welcome, Father Bohab.  I've seen you on stage before, and perhaps in a video or two.

Anyway ... From what I've heard, swapping coil packs side to side and seeing if the misfire follows the coil pack is perhaps the easiest diagnostic trick.  They do go out.

^this. I used a similar method to diagnose a bad plug lead from my spinny-sparky on my Linear.

is just changing one coilpack ok or would a new set be recommended?

having a similar issue. got p0304, changed the plugs (one step colder)  and now there's little hesitations at idle. more pronounced when in gear but does occasionally blip in neutral.

I'd swap them all with a known good used set, not worth my time to hunt and peck through the combination of variables. Used sets are ~$100, if you go new get OEM.

Re: Loss of power and a rumbling noise at low rpm prob spark plug?

At $75 each new, I'm finding the defective one and replacing just it.  It's a fairly simple task to swap them around.  My connectors were old and brittle and I wound up replacing those.
