I picked up a EJ20 from a 2005 92x. I'm trying to find info about this engine and specifically its HP. I can only find that the EJ20 was turboed and the EJ25 was naturally aspirated. Are there any EJ20's that were naturally aspirated or do I have some sort of frankenstein engine that I pulled. Installing it into a 1985 VW Transporter. Roman

there were no EJ20 naturally aspirated sold in north america. the only EJ20 was the 02-05 WRX (and 05 92x), all the same turbo motor.
However the rest of the world got EJ20 non turbo motors.
So if you bought it from a JDM importer then that makes sense

The 2005 Linear (naturally aspirated) was an EJ253.

EJ20 in the 9-2x Aero was 227hp.
