meh, grass is always greener I think. I saw Subaru guys wanting the cleaner look of the matched dash color hazard we had.

It's a 20whp upgrade, totally worth it.

Myzislow, curious what you paid for your Prodrive gauge cluster ? Does it rear in mph ?
I've been looking for a good condition one that reads in mph, paid $315 shipped, they seem to go between $300 and $400, can't wait to get it.

Re: My project Saabaru

Oh no, lights on the gauge cluster would drive me nuts, Why would the abs light be on ? I'll pull the bulb out if possible.

ABS signal polarity was reversed after 2004, so clusters designed for earlier cars will have the ABS light on. I know there are fixes for this as lots of people put later STI clusters into early cars.

Re: My project Saabaru

1.UKDM Prodrive gauge cluster arrived, looks awesome, I will replace the cover with a brand new one for a total brand new feel effect.
2.Installed a brand new set of Subaru OEM 20mm sway bars, bushings and rear end links.
https://i.imgur.com/MU07K53.jpg
3.Finally swapped back to the original parking brake cables, the parking brake cables that came with the STi knuckles turned out too long and there was no way to properly adjust the parking brake. What shitty job to have to do, I hated it but Iím super happy now that I have a functional parking brake.
4. Got rid of the ugly Enkei PF01 center caps, got lucky with a set of old Saab center caps I had rigged up to a set of Enkei RPF1 many years ago, they snapped in perfectly on the PF01.

5.Got a new puppy

Re: My project Saabaru

In the process of getting tuned for the VF48 and the bigger top mount I've had to battle the old knock. Considering I'm essentially running a stage 2 setup, I decided to give a Grimmspeed AOS, hopefully it'll work well for my application.

I did turn that hose so it does not read upside down.

Re: My project Saabaru

I've been running a Grimmspeed AOS for years and it's worked very well. I burn virtually no oil as best I can measure by eye.

I have heard that in high boost applications it can be overwhelmed and not work as well, but I can't speak to that personally on a stock TD04.

Re: My project Saabaru

That is my understanding also, I'm hoping it'll function well for my motor as well since I'm essentially running a stock turbo and just stage 2 boost levels. I guess I will find out if it works or not soon enough. Thanks for the endorsement, gives me piece of mind.

Re: My project Saabaru

What did you do for the splitter/shroud for the new Sti TMIC?  Have been looking for an STI top mount lately and realized that the newer ones tend to pop up cheaper and in better shape than the older ones, but are wider too.

Re: My project Saabaru

In a picture above you can see I still have the stock splitter, I cut a hole on the side to get better ventilation. The stock splitter actually covers the new style top mount very well but I just got a a new Grimmspeed splitter today. I'll be installing it soon, I'll let you know how that goes and post a picture or two.

Re: My project Saabaru

My good friend the Tactrix cable, its all covered up with ferrite clip ons to keep Romraider from freezing. At one point it broke inside the OBD port and I was able to pull the broken part out and epoxy it back together. It ain't pretty but it works.
