I will be there Saturday in the a.m. Going to a Windy City BMW event - get to go in early, but have to stay in the BMW/Mini area until 10 a.m., when the doors open to the general public.

So I decided to head out to the show with my dad and little brother today, pretty boring, nothing really excited me too much that I would love to have as my next car and is in my price range. The new R32 was a little disappointing in performance for its price, it's only 9 hp more than the Saab. My choice is still MY06-07 STi or EVO IX / MR. Also the new X5 which MSRP'd for around 47K is a great deal compared to the 4Runner and Sequioa which were stickered 42K and 50K respectively.

The 07 STI is so FTW in terms of bolt on mods and the way the car reacts.

Yup, and it's a great platform. The interior (especially the seats) felt great, and I'm used to it. The updated headunit also is a plus. I wish that white EVO IX MR would have been opened so I could take a peak inside, never sat in those Recaros.

The show was decent... I was actually paying more attention to the display and presentation more than the cars themselves. I though the Saab section had the the best design with the LED wall panels. One thing I noted was that people smell bad. They need to shower before they join themselves in a room with thousands of others.
