Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Hello all, I see people aren't fond of lifting these things haha. Anyways just an updated pic. Cars is still going strong. Only at about 35k miles on it now. Haven't done much with it beside put the intake back to stock for smog inspection. Planning on getting some gravel wheels and tires. The grabbers are a tad too wide for the rear without rolling the fenders. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/Mobile%20Uploads/Screenshot_2016-03-31-08-23-48-1_zpspp6fn3bt.png

Just another pic update, 37k miles and climbing. Went to Pismo beach here in California and got to drive up and down the beach in the sand. Mobbed though everything no problem it was so much fun. Speed limit was 15mph on the beach though  unamused

Installed an auxiliary cable to my stock clarion head unit tonight. Works pretty well. Had all the nessesary stuff to do it so it didn't cost me a thing

Any detailed instructions on how to do this? Do I need to run a silent CD?

I love the look of the ATs and subtle lift on this.  Did you notice a drop on MPG after doing this?

Edit:  Would these fit without the wheel spacers?

I found a small how too on the internet a while back. Basically what it had explained is there is a separate circuit board for the am/fm radio. There are pins labled on the board fm left and fm right. Those are left and right stereo outputs. i cut a headphone cable and soildered the left and right (black and red) wires to the pins and soldered the ground wire to a ground pin. The radio can be on any fm station basically the voltage is greater from my ipod so it takes over the signal while on. It does not work with a lot of newer smart phones. im assuming they run lower voltages to save on battery. Only works with my ipod and older phones.

Yes i only get about 250-275 miles to the tank now. Before i got about 320. Couldnt tell you the exact mpg but its much worse that it already was lol. I still plan on going with forester struts eventually after i put more miles on these struts. I would say its mostly from the tires and probably the needed alignment. The tires make a lot of road noise so theres gotta be a lot of drag going on. It could probably work without the wheel spacers but i could be wrong cause the rear wheel wells are pretty narrow to save room in the trunk.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

hahaha woohoo California! It's just pretty right now cuz of all the rain. Give us another couple months and everything will be dried up and we'll be burning up with fires again.

Those are some serious looking tires on your Saabaru

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Thanks guys! Yeah hasn't looked like this in at least 5 years. Couldn't even go to sequoia in the summer cause of all the fires near by. This spring will be gorgeous but it's gonna be a rough summer for sure.
