Amending my bucket list to include first gen Mustang fastbacks after further review of evidence of epic pro-touring build on a 1965 fastback by Roadster Shop. Sweet mama this thing is nice.  eek cool

Re: Automotive Ownership Bucket List

Depends on the car.  The Volvo, while fun, is a 30 year old econobox.  Not fast, not particularly comfy, dead reliable but not the least bit engaging as a drivers car.

I blame my new fancy job.  Volvo is the oldest car in the lot by at least a decade  biggrin.

Re: Automotive Ownership Bucket List

If I had unlimited amounts of money I would buy cars the way some women buy shoes. I would love to add these to my stable:

The turbo version of my 92X
Mazda RX8...a friend lets me drive his from time to time and I love it
An S2000...because, Jason
And I want a Miata because going topless is just so damned fun

2005 9-2X Linear, 5 Speed, black - SOLD
2013 Toyota Tacoma, 5 speed, black.
2018 GTI SE, 6 speed, white.

You don't need unlimited funds to complete your list. You could get all of that for $50k, its a very affordable wish list. It would be even cheaper if you drop the Miata, since the S2000 is a convertible.

Re: Automotive Ownership Bucket List

Yeah, I realized that the S2000 was a convertible after I posted the Miata. Completely different driving experiences, though.

Neither the S2000 or Miata include an X in the name. Request denied.

I did not know about new job.  It made more financial sense at old job, new job was a hefty raise and now that I can easily afford a nicer car, I'm feeling like getting one.  Also the Miata wasn't broken.  That's probably part of it, my current operational vehicles are the Econoline and the Volvo, I think once the Miata is back up and running I'll be happy for the time being.  Maybe.
