Should I pull the trigger/Piston Slap?

So I've  got my eye on an 05 92x Aero. It has 96000 kms on it, manual trans.
I have a couple questions about it.

First off... piston slap. Are people getting it on the 05 Saabarus or what? I have an 07 2.5i Impreza that once at 100k kms got the worst piston slap. I really don't  want to get out of my impreza to get in to something that will end up the exact same... which is to mean a very horrid  sounding car that I can't  sell easily as the noises scare people.

My other question is pretty much purely opinion... Would you hop out of an 07 2.5i impreza with 106k kms to get in to an 05 92x aero with 96k kms? My insurance and car payment would be the same more of less.

Further to this should I sell the impreza or take it off the road and keep it as a winter  beater for the rough weather we get this way from dec to march/april.

I'm torn. I've always wanted  a saabaru but hate spending money. The guy only wants 10k for the 92x aero.

So... thoughts?
