they have a double stick tape on them.  you wipe down the oem with rubbing alcohol then use 3m prep stuff, like the wipes to help cure the adhesive, and stick in place.  if it is cold out they recommend using a hairdryer or heat gun to warm up the surfaces.

I have heard that some glue helps too cuz the tape doesn't hold that well.

I like the STI door sills.

I'd rather be pedaling up a 10% grade.

Re: Door Sill Install

Maybe some of our DIY people on this forum would like to make some custom made 92x door sills at an attractive price smile

Re: Door Sill Install

I got the 9-2x sills from the dealer for $143.00 after I got my car.  Installation is easy...  I used some rubber cement - double stick tape should work fine except you will have to do prep and make sure ALL surfaces are totally clean (you may want to use some acetone or something similar) - I went the lazy route with the rubber cement; it's removable, butI don't plan on removing

Re: Door Sill Install

For those who have these....how are they holding up?  lots of scratches etc...?

My dad use to have something similar on his benz and they got so scuffed up only after a few months.

Mine too...though it's not like I'm stomping on them.

I used a little liquid nails in addition to the double-sided tape...those things aren't going anywhere. Ever.
