Last night I went with some friends to see Dave Chapelle live (who was f'n hillarious) and on the way home my buddy's LGT and 18" PIAA rims got totally pwn3d by a pothole. As soon as he went over it we heard the sound of a blowout so we pulled over right away into a gas station that was a couple hundred feet away. We examined the wheel to find that the tire was ok, but the rim had gone San Andreas fault style and completely cracked in half!!! We couldnt believe that a rim could break in such a way. We put on his spare tire and limped the car to my house which was 10 miles away. Here are some pics I took this morning of the wheel:

I think its the non-forged ones. Either way a rim should not crack like that, crazy stuff...

WOW wholey shit. I would contact the manufacturer. that's bullshit from a pothole. How fast were you guys going? How big was the pothole? Best of luck..

That looks very much like a defect (more likely in a cast wheel than a forged one). No way it should open up like that.

Most people take a simple picture. Archie puts on a wide angle lense and poses and lights the tire.

but the rim should not crack like that
Keep it for warranty - They better warranty it if not i think you have a very good argument point (evidence)
