Hi guys,
I'm not a 9-2x owner, but a fellow car enthusiast.
Our friends are missing so spread the word. Once I saw they have a 9-2x, I decided to post it here.

Thanks, so do a lot of people
It's especially upsetting as their kids are missing too.

I've been following this all day. I saw he was in a Saab, but I kinda thought it was a 9-5. I guess The description was vague, though.
For everyone who isn't aware, (as I don't think it's mentioned in the articles) there was a large storm system that moved through the Pacific Northwest and dropped a fair amount of snow in that region the night they disappeared. Given that he has a 9-2X, we can only hope for the best. Being a San Fran resident, however, we can only guess how much experience he has driving in snow.
He will most definitely be in my thoughts.

Thats so sad. Here I thought I was the only Korean 92x owner. I seriously hope they find this family. That is definitely a bummer. Good luck to finding them. Since I'm in socal I doubt I will be traveling the same roads. All I can do is send in a prayer. Best of wishes.

i hate to say it but i'm kinda thinking it might have been a case of RE011 vs snow = not good

Thats what I was thinking, but without knowing if he had the sport package, I didn't want to speculate. With the amount of snow they had, though, the RE92s should have held up just fine.

but you cannot predict what other cars were on the road. and people are shameless nowadays. i've seen and hear of plenty of hit and runs... i will just continue to pray.

Here's an update:

We can only speculate about his driving ability and/or tires.
As a longtime Audi enthusiast, I know very well that there are times you can push too far, just because you think you can.
Keep the thread alive please, a fellow 9-2 owner would be more likely to notice their car than anyone else.

PS - super props to the moderator for adding the alert to the site advertising banner.

Thanks everyone!

This is great news, and I am happy for them. It sounds like the family is only being brought to the hospital for precautionary measures. I hope that James is found in a similar coondition.

Kim Family Update #5: Mother and Children Located; Father Still Missing - 12/04/06
On December 4, 2006 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Search & Rescue officials were notified that a vehicle and a female waving an umbrella were spotted by a helicopter search crew near the Rogue River in the area of Bear Camp Viewpoint off Bear Camp Road. This location is near the Curry / Josephine County line in Josephine County.
The helicopter was able to land and verified that the mother and two children were alive. The father reportedly was not with the vehicle. Additional search crews and resources are being diverted to the area to help try and locate the father.
The condition of the mother and children is not available but reports are encouraging. They were flown to a separate location from where they will be transported to a local hospital to be evaluated for treatment.
No further details are being released at this time.
A second media briefing will tentatively be held at 5:00 p.m. in Merlin at the Josephine County Search & Rescue Headquarters.
