Saab 9-2x radiator/headlight support differences to wrx

I haven't been able to find many threads detailing how/if the radiator/headlight support differs from the equivalent model year wrx.

I have a 2005 SAAB 9-2x Aero and the equivalent WRX would be the blob eye, do I need to swap the radiator support for any front end conversion regardless of the generation of WRX?

to reiterate, is the radiator support different from the same model year wrx (05 and 06)?

Yes, the radiator support is not the same between any year gd wagon and the 92x.
If you install any year gd radiator support then you are converting to a Subaru front end.
For example, a 2002/2003 radiator support can be welded to your 92x body. At that point you will also need 02/03 fenders, hood, bumper cover, crash beam behind the bumper cover, 02/03 headlights, etc. The 92x headlight wires/plugs will need to be modified to 02/03 compatible. The 92x side skirts also need to be swapped to 02/03 wagon.
06/07 wrx wagon would be my choice if I was in your situation, Hawkeye conversion.

2005 satin gray metalic aero, sold. 06 wrx, adios!
2005 black aero, rescue project, jdm STi ver 7 drivetrain.
2005 desert silver aero, work horse JDM EJ205 AVCS
2002 bugeye, sedan :-( new project

Well I would rather go for the sedan front end if it is that much work anyway, my wheel arch liners are pretty much gone up front anyway

Sure, same process but the side skirts would still have to be wagon specific. Unless the sedan skirts have the finish trim by the rear arch.
