$15,000 Saabaru

A colleague learned about my recent loss of my beloved 92X, so he forwarded this to me, when the bidding price was still in the $3000 range.
I just checked it today and the auction ended. Someone paid $15,000 for this car.
Just when I made up my mind never ever to go with limited production cars! (I also have the 1998 Ford Contour SVT, original owner)
Man, my car's condition was actually better than this one sold, with leather, HID, cold package, BBS RK (not the Enkei 17 and the sun roof that I didn't want anyway), absolutely no rust under the car. Well, except double the miles.
So any of you have a low miles car and want to get rid of it -- this is your chance!

Re: $15,000 Saabaru

I saw this, too. Shocking price paid for it - especially considering that it was 'missing' the Premium package (it has Cold and Sport). I was also expecting a car with a LOT less undercarriage rust than this one has for that kind of money.

Someone REALLY wanted this Saabaru. I hope that they maintain it as a stock car and don't modify it to death.

This is 9-2x #351, produced 03/04. I don't think that the owner was ever on this forum.

It is one of just 376 Black/cloth/Aero/5MT models built for 2005.

I paid $17,250 for my 9-2x with 31k miles n 2007.

Two people really wanted it smile
That price is not justified at all.  I'd love if our cars were valued like that typically but it's just not so.

Exactly. Way overpriced, it's going to have a good deal of rust underneath. Buying auction cars sight unseen is crazy IMO, unless they are small money or parts.

Re: $15,000 Saabaru

It's a beautiful example of the Saab 9-2X Aero but it doesn't have leather interior.   My 2005 Aero came with leather, heated seats, pockets on the back of the front seats and heated windshield wipers.

Good rusty god.... you think for $15k you would at least get some of the rarer bits like leather, HIDs, or the SAAB floor mats/Sill plates. Or an 06 in Red.

I paid $3k for a rust-free Linear shitbox collectable 8 years ago. Gonna drive this bad boy up to NJ and double my 'investment'

Yup, part of the reason it was so cheap was the shift bushings were gone. Replaced them with kartboy bushings, transmission is still going strong.
