05 9-2x Li - 180K miles, $2200

Looking at a 9-2x in NYC that has 180K miles, listed at $2200.

No maintenance records but listing says "no check engine light on, only needs front shock absorber".

Seems like a low price, is it worth the risk with no maintenance records? And at 180K, what are most expected future repairs and their costs?

NYC?  Check carefully for rust.  Lower control arms in the front had a service campaign (maybe recall?) and the rear strut tower area is a known trouble area.  I'm sure rust belt folks can point to more places to check.

With no records, timing belts would be a good idea, and if a manual, the clutch is an unknown.
