Re: Time Capsule

I've been keeping my eyes open for a 2005-2007 STI in WRB. One was on here recently but went for like $16.5k and still didn't meet reserve. I like the Forester XT on there now though

Re: Time Capsule

I'm looking for my next AMG, some early to mid 2000s sedan.  IMO, they are underappreciated and at the bottom of the depreciation curve.  I actually really like the C32, which was the small sedan with the inline 6, it scoots, and handles better than some of the models with the big V8 lumps (though I do love me some AMG V8 lumpishness...)

Re: Time Capsule

I've got a time capsule in the form of a bone stock NA/6 Miata, but need to get rid of it and a motorcycle or two before I can look at adding something back.  I missed the bottom of the depreciation curve on a few things I'd like.  Oh well.  It's not like I've got time for any new projects right now.

Photos on BaT are usually well above the average. The photos in this auction undoubtedly had a negative effect on the results. I'm honestly surprised they were even willing to publish it.

I agree the photos aren't professional quality, but they're certainly adequate, no?

This is a 2004 WRX that has been preserved in about as ideal conditions as possible: a facility that ran the engine twice monthly and changed the oil and otherwise didn't move the thing. Of course they published it - they'd be crazy not to. This is exactly the kind of thing they're looking for.

The low bids I think are more a result of the fact that it was modified in a less than desirable way; particularly removing all the emissions stuff. When you're looking at a super-preserved car like this, the people willing to really shell out for that want it to be perfectly original. So, it's not gonna fetch the real money from those guys. Still, definitely worthy of BaT. No question.

Re: Time Capsule

My dad had an original '98 C43 AMG. That thing was awesome. I miss that car...
