Steel Skid Plate

Anybody have a suggestion for an aftermarket steel skid plate for the front of my camping rig?
92X Linear 2005
I drive dirt roads often and the front plastic spoiler/bumper is so thrashed and cracked, it looks bad.

Just about to hit 155,000 miles w/ new struts and clutch.

Re: Steel Skid Plate

I got one of the thicker aluminum skidplates for 6 years and been happy with it, unless you count having to drop it to do an oil change smile

Re: Steel Skid Plate

RalliTEK (I think bought SSi) has a few options as well.

Re: Steel Skid Plate

Wow, thank for fast replies. Great links and products!

Yep I need skid plates for underneath, of course; but also for lower front bumper spoiler thing. I'd rather not just replace it with another plastic piece - which I know will break again.

The mild dirt from this 2005 image - is now half missing in 2019. Fragments of broken plastic held together w/ black duct tape. That along with foggy head light covers, makes her a real eyesore. Pretty hideous.

Do I need to find a local fabrication shop to just make me what I need? Or is there anything out there for the front skid area?

Ya know, for the bigger than grapefruit sized granite boulders.

I drive in the rugged Sierra Nevada mountains.

Maybe a combo like this:

Probably have to call the company up to find out about making a current batch.

Re: Steel Skid Plate

I constructed a bash bar of sorts for my former Evo.  It worked good to protect the lower from getting ripped off at RallyCross events.
