OEM Door Sills

FYI, eeuroparts has the OEM saab door sills for like $42.  Originally from the dealer I believe they were like $200.00.  https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/59946/ … -32009562/

I ordered a set, simple way to class up the car.

I apologize if somebody already posted this.

Re: OEM Door Sills

Has anyone seen these in use? Do they simply stick on to the existing plastic door sill covers that are part of the door frame trim?

Re: OEM Door Sills

arrow-up I think that they do just stick on to the plastic. I always wanted a set when I had a 9-2x, I just couldn't stomach the MSRP 10 years ago.

I stuck on some fake STI ones years back.

Correct, they just stick on. I got these when I originally bought the car. The adhesive is strong enough such that they've remained in place for nearly 13 years.

Re: OEM Door Sills

I bought a set of these from the ebay deal mentioned above.  Put them on last weekend, and they do look sharp, i must say.  Really adds some visual appeal, and throws the Saab name in there.  Took about 15 minutes total.  I wiped the plastic down with some acetone to removed anything that would keep the 3M tape from sticking.  They seem like they are on there pretty solid.

I would not have paid $200, but $42 was a good deal.

Re: OEM Door Sills

I just put these on this morning. That price is fantastic! Absolutely worth it. They come with an adhesive, but you need to prep the surface first. In addition to isopropyl alcohol (I used acetone), you will need to spray the plastic sills with an adhesion promoter. They recommend the 3M-K500.

Re: OEM Door Sills

The blue dots on the sills are remnants of the film that were fished out later. I also attached the trunk sill, which was purchased separately.

Re: OEM Door Sills

Does anyone have the trunk sill? I'm worried the material might scuff/scratch easily.

Re: OEM Door Sills

I got a set from www.patrickaccessories.com many moons ago.  They attach with 3M tape.  Me like, me buy.
Got the truck sill also, but it bends easily, not as happy with that
