Just depends what you are looking for in an interior.  I agree the WRX has a nice, simple interior.  Focus ST/RS to me feels cheap.  GTI/Golf-R has clean, more refined interior.

I don't see how you think the mk7 interior is too busy while the focus and the wrx have way more stuff going on.

Re: Another dumb German car: Episode V

I was testing out a stock downpipe that I modded. I removed the first catalytic converter. It still has the second one.

Other mods are a golf R turbo that's been ported and polished and a JB4 piggyback tuner

Log 1 is stock downpipe, 10 is with downpipe mod, 11 is upping the boost a bit.

3rd picture is 3rd gear vs 4th gear.

Is your car 6MT or DSG?  Wish I could just get a tune on my car but hear with the 6MT you'll pretty much need a new clutch right away...

6M, I changed out the clutch. The turbo upgrade was fine. The added downpipe made it slip.

How are you keeping any traction up front? My brother in law hat the Gti with just a tune upgrade and kept complaining about the constant tire spin.

Are you on stock size rubber?  Even with the boost by gear you are spinning tires on WOT guaranteed lol

My wagon is approaching 400ft lbs to the wheels right now.  I switched out the 245mm Pilot Super Sports for 235mm performance all seasons for winter.  The traction is comedy even with an LSD.  I did a smoky burnout just letting out the clutch on a slight incline the other day.  The people with 500whp/500tq FWD cars must be delusional.  It's just a waste as I cannot BOOT my car with these tires and not have any spin until 60mph.  On e85(440ft lbs to the wheels) I might have to switch to Cup 2s if I want to have traction in 2nd.

I use about 25% throttle at the most in 1st gear.  I can use about 60-70% in 2nd.  Without the sticky summer tires, cut those in half.

Re: Another dumb German car: Episode V

Well shit..... that sucks, thank god for a strong windshield.

And I just don't see the point of having a car you can't floor in 1st or 2nd.  Doesn't sound like fun to me at all, but that's prolly why I will wind up in a Miata.

Yeah shit happens.

Oh well, I'll be picking up an Alltrack or 4motion golf sportwagen and throwing gti parts on it if everything goes as planned.

Re: Another dumb German car: Episode V

Already started the modding process. Installed the BMS JB4, turbo inlet pipe and k&n air filter today. Peak boost at 17.5 and tapers to 11 psi. It scoots decently.

Whats the appeal of BMS vs APR?
