No up pipe. It is a turbo back exhaust. It means just that. I imagine it retains factory o2 sensor bungs, all quality exhausts that I've dealt with do. They offer an up pipe, but state that it no longer has the egt bung.

Do you know of a good uppipe that does have 02 bung? When looking at exhausts on ebay an etc, as long as it fits an 05 wrx it will work right? It doesnt have to be a wrx wagon right? Sorry i am new to this car.

I'm new as well. I would buy wagon specific parts. I'm told Cobb has the up pipe you and I want. I'm also looking into DC sports, but haven't confirmed...
And it's an egt bung. Exhaust gas temp. Very important.

Front O2 sensor is in the exhaust manifold, not the UP. UP has an EGT sensor which isn't needed and is easily defeated with a resistor, so many don't even bother to have that bung. Getting rid of the UP cat is key, it is a performance and reliability hindrance.

I always thought egt was important. Maybe only when boosting high PSI?

I changed oil, trans, and diff fluid yesterday. Mobil one in the engine. Along with a Subaru filter. Redline 75/90 ns in the trans and regular 75/90 in the diff. Shifting was good, now it's great!
Also confirmed cavalier z24 wheels fit, even the hub bore is the same. Winter wheels.

Suprising about the Z24 wheels........i always use myboltpattern.com for bolt patterns, etc.......they have updated the site recently and it has a whole lot more information on it now, if anyone hasn't checked it out lately, you should.

I'm learning that the egt in the up pipe will only throw a cel if the cat is removed. I think I understand now, it only monitors that a cat is there? And doesn't adjust any engine parameters? And removing the cat and the egt will not cause any problems?
I'm used to egt being important, but that is from my turbo diesel experience.
