Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

I'm guessing they did that without even taking off the bumper because I clipped it back together without any problems unamused
Pretty dumb. Plus now i have a hole in my bumper. I'll probably take it to a body shop in a few months and get it fixed. Plus I want the license plate holes filled in too. They managed to ruin those as well  roll

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

So I decided to clean my headlights as well. The DS came out good but the polish didn't do much to the PS so I guess I need something better or I might have to sand the lens or something.

DS after polish

PS after polish (notice the crap from the prior owners body work)

Anyone have any suggestions for the head lights? I might pull them apart soon to paint the front half of the inside of the light so I can clean the inside of the lens then.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Grille looks great! I think painting the grille makes a big difference in the front-end appearance. Did you take the grille pieces out, mask off the bumper w/ the grille pieces on, or just spray w/ no masking? Since it was my first time using plastidip and my grille pieces were stubbornly staying in the bumper, I masked and painted.

For the headlights, my passenger side is a little worse than my driver side as well. I've just used some rubbing compound that came w/ a headlight restoration kit (didn't use the pads that come w/ it to wet sand) and that's worked to keep it looking good.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Thanks man. Yeah after looking at a ton of pictures online I decided it was a must. Looks much better black. I took out the grille pieces, didn't even need tools. I popped out the top clips with my nails and just tugged the pieces out carefully. I'm pretty surprised how easy it was. I'll go to the auto parts store and see what else they have for the headlights.  cool embeer

I just pm'd you, unless here again:

How to install them here: https://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?id=5526
Link to pdf: https://saab92x.com/manuals/Hella_Micro_ … nstall.pdf
To fill the gap between fog light and bumper you can try this method: https://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?id=40573

Back to OP, I will do all this (plasti dip, micro de's install, fixing lower bumper crack and bake my HID headlights because of condensation build up on the inside) once the winter is over here and the temperature in the garage is above 50F.

If you are looking for a different polishing kit, I got the best result with 3M's Headlight restoration kit.
Another good product would be Bondo Bumper repair kit from 3M as well (that's what I am using since I got a bottom crack).

There's a few write ups in here. Requires a tiny bit of plastic trimming. Just use the forum search.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Not much to update, bought an intake tube off eBay to replace the stock shit. Its for the older rs models but I'll just weld on whatever fittings I need. The I'll get it powder coated wrinkle black. The car just barely broke 25k miles. Did the oil changes. Probably gonna pick up some spark plugs soon. Anyone have any recommendations?  driving

Installed an auxiliary cable to my stock clarion head unit tonight. Works pretty well. Had all the nessesary stuff to do it so it didn't cost me a thing.http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140720_212354_zpspfslkclf.jpg

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Installed 1" strut spacers and 20mm wheel spacers.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150421_095642_031_zps9m1iepod.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150421_102551_586_zpsi2kjlwd8.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150421_145209_zpsrq44b0eb.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150421_135344_zpsfet552ki.jpg

The front was easy. The rear required top hat removal for the old strut studs. The rear stut springs aren't loaded very tightly so it wasn't a problem. The biggest pain was removing the old studs.
