My 06 2.5i M/T

Hello I'm Thomas, since I recently purchased a 92x I figured I would create a thread for future updates/pictures.

2006 SAAB 9-2x 2.5i, second owner, 23k miles.

Picked it up from north san Fransisco and drove it about 400 miles to my house in Los Angeles.

http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/IMG_20131223_073942_331_zps0z0xtx03.jpg

Currently stock. I have some fog covers, hella micros, and wrx lip on the way. I will lower it, get new wheels, add a new stereo system, and weather tech floor and truck mats in the future. I'll updates this as it progresses.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Yup lol, 22,8xx to be more exact. Purchased for $12k. The car runs great. This is the closest to a new car I've ever had lol. Last 2 cars I had were 1990 civics with 150k+ mileage or more.

That's an amazing deal, I payed half that for a car with 3 times the mileage. Welcome to the site by the way!

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Wow, for $12k I will be happy with it. Btw. I am also missing the right front fog light housing.

Here is mine, unfortunately with 75k miles more:

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Yup lol. So I'm thinking of maybe getting the wrx roof rails. I read a write up on here about installing them. Seems do-able. Anyone have opinions on this?

Not to awfully bad.

Min had them installed when I got my 9-2X. But definitely a great addition to the vehicle.  I travel in the summer and they are great for more space. I even added a OEM Forester basket for more secure storage.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Looks pretty good! Thanks for the picture. Ok so now some interior questions. I saw online that an armrest extension is available? Does anyone have this? Is it just an extra compartment on top of the original armrest? Also I saw a cup holder that can be installed on the back side of the armrest for the back seat? I'm looking for some installed photos of these if anyone has them. My car only has 2 cup holders so to add 2 more would be great especially with how light the inserts are on the seats lol.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

So i pulled off my front bumper to do the fog light install. Found a little suprise...
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/012_zps087803b8.jpg

My front right corner just under the head light always poked out a bit and heres why
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/009_zpsd1c8472c.jpg
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/010_zpscbeee3f6.jpg
Some real ghetto dumb shit body work. The clip isnt even broken lol. It went back in normally but now i have a small hole in my bumper  unamused

Anyways i thought the fog lights came out ok.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b135/mctizzydivision/013_zps9152a294.jpg

Did some trimming for the fog to fit. Dont mind the rough edges around the fog light cover lol

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

I just figured it out. 6 clip in engine bay above grille. 5 on bottom of bumper 2 left, 2 right, 1 center. 1 on each side behind the splash guard connecting the bumper and fender together.

Re: My 06 2.5i M/T

Good work! Looks good w/ the fogs installed. smile

92x-dude, the bumper isn't that much of a hassle to take off. If you search around on here there's a couple in depth explanations showing the locations of the clips. Like TH0M45 said, it's basically just all those clips that hold it on (plus make sure to disconnect your fogs...), then it will pull straight off. The biggest PITA is removing the clips on either side of the bumper that go into the hole that's to the right of the screw that's in TH0M45's bumper in this picture.
