Up in the great white north, you must have plastic in the winter, to keep the slush, snow and salt off the carpet. In Georgia, it's probably not a big deal, but in the Northern USA or Canada, those floor mats are looking like a real carpet saver.

Ken - do they have a provision for the fuel door release on the driver's side?

Re: CAR Mats fit question

Tkon and eurospek........well, they sure do.   There is a plastic "lip" that hangs over the fuel door release.  You can either keep the little plastic cover on or cutt it off.  I will get some pic up tomorrow.    check back soon

Cheers
Ken

Re: CAR Mats fit question

OK guys, here are some pix, thanks for being so patient.  You can see that there is a little plastic "thing" over the gasdoor lever.  It is esay to just push that to the side to open the door.  Theyre worth every penny.

Re: CAR Mats fit question

i had those husky liners before in my 4runner and they are absolutely awesome. I didnt know they made them for subs/saabs so I just ordered the Weathertech mats like 10 minutes ago, oh well. Both are good mats. The only downside to huskys is that water can slosh around in them. I think I might return my weathertech back mats and get the husky rear liners, they really do help protect the center hump and other areas standard floor mats dont.

+1 on the sloshing part, but the weather techs tend to "overflow" more than the huskys.

this is true... It is a hard choice between the two. I really think there is room for improvement in floor mats out there to make the "perfect" mat.

Just an idea
use a small towel and place at the back (near seat) so when its too wet the towel absorbs it so no sloshing.  Or use a diaper and toss it when its wet.

Diaper, very creative, but I think I will have to pass on that one.  sly

Re: CAR Mats fit question

Id also rather not prefer dealing with dirty towels and more so dirty diapers haha. No but that is some creative thinking.

Not to post-jack (but kind of), does anyone have the rubber cargo mat out of the saab catalog? If so do you recommend it?

youll be amazed how much it can hold
and disposing of it in a trash is acceptable
or would you rather the mud and grime slosh over to your beautiful interior carpet.

Having a couple of unused diapers under your seat wont hurt.

Or would you guys rather pay $10 for a chamois of MF towel and throw that away.

With all that moisture inside the car and sometimes you wonder why the defroster is not working that well.

Im in Georgia so i dont have that problem, merely trying to help you nothern guys outduring the winter
