Hey guys, so I pulled the trigger on the front-end makeover. Turned out even better than I expected and I'm very happy with the results. 
Had a local guy paint the headlights like jdm@heart's style, and I painted the whole grille w/ Plasti-dip. Overall I think it looks much more aggressive. One step closer to my completed look!
Here are my instagram before & after's which show how much it changed the look, and one photo w/ the nice camera.

Looks great! I did the same thing a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier with the results.

Haven't updated this in quite awhile... Since my last post I've installed some Rally Armor UR mudflaps (quite a hassle since I had to drill all but 4 of the holes to mount them but still quite worth it!), and over Thanksgiving week I installed the STI diffuser, and painted my brake calipers a dark grey. Pics below!!
In the shop w/ the Saab flag my brother got me last xmas..

Finished product: 
Holes drilled in the spare tire well. Only used 2/3 cuz I failed on the 3rd one and drilled it quite a bit off and instead of making the hole bigger, I just sealed it w/ silicone since w/ 4 bolts it was securely fastened.

Look what I got for Christmas!
Bought a downpipe for myself 
Stage 2 finally in view after I get the car smogged this spring. I met up w/ norcal9two and bought his Maddad V1 catless downpipe.
And .... 1/43 model Saabaru from my brother!!! Already on display in my cube and lookin good!

Soooooo... I'm officially stage 2 now! Need to update my signature. 
Ever since I got my boost leak fixed I've had quite a few times to stretch her legs and all I can is ... THIS BABY HAULS!! 
Stage 2 is a world of difference from stage 1 and I'm glad I was able to do the downpipe install myself and learn about how everything went together - even w/ my intercooler boost leak issues. Once I got a gasket on the midpipe-catback connection and got rid of that exhaust leak, things quieted down some and it sounds so nice when you get on it. Not much louder at highway speed or driving casually but when you get on it this thing has some mean sounds that have been uncovered by removing the cats.

What magnaflow muffler di you use? Also, can we get a viid of the exhaust sound? I am looking at chopping up my ebay 3" and adding a magnaflow muffler.

I’m not sure what exact muffler it is, the exhaust shop I work w/ did the work on the catback. I will most likely be changing my oil this weekend so while I have it in the air I’ll see if it says any model name on it. If not I’ll give you the dimensions and some pics. It’s just an oval style Magnaflow muffler w/ a 3” inlet/outlet.
I’ve been meaning to take some video of the exhaust since everything’s buttoned up now. I’ll get something posted hopefully this weekend. She does sound quite nice!

I definitely wouldn't pass 2 years down the road in CA - I'm hoping I can just swap in the stock midpipe and pass w/ that since it will have 1 cat that way. It may fail visual though since the downpipe would still be very obviously not stock. We'll see! I don't have to worry about that for awhile.

I measured the size of the muffler and it's a 9x14 which I believe is a fairly standard Magnaflow muffler size (3 inch inlet/outlet). Got a pic for you below - I'll try and get a video posted this week. She sounds great catless though!!

Here ya go! Finished product pictures from the top and bottom. Second picture shows how I cut the heat shield down the right side for the wastegate pipe.

Ya, I had to do quite a few rounds of sanding and brake cleaner on the calipers to get rid of all the caked on brake dust. Hoping to keep up on the cleaning so my new color can shine through!
