06 Aero mt5 - Brownsville, VT

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking around here for a while and thought it was about time to say hello.  embeer

My girlfriend and I purchased the car from another saab92x.com member in April 09 and have been enjoying it ever since.  The car came with 16" wheels, cold weather package, sunroof, and dealer option grey/grey leather interior.  Just recently crossed 52k and going strong.

When we purchased the car it already had a bunch of mods done.  I was a bit concerned at the start, but after doing some research I realized that everything was done right and was for the better.  Some might say it's getting close to how it should have come.

So, at this point in the game here is the list:
Cusco rear sway bar with Kartboy endlinks
Kartboy short shifter and bushings
Transmission brace (not sure of details, just have a receipt for the install)
VF39 turbo
Turbo XS big ass top mount intercooler
Cobb catted downpipe
SPT catback exhaust with Kartboy hangers
Perrin electronic boost controller
3 sets of wheels/tires
- stock 16's w/allseasons,
- RS 6-spoke 16's w/winters,
- 04 STI BBS 17's w/stickies (thanks AustinG) embeer

Last but not least, I recently had Dent Sport Garage do a 50k service with all new fluids and then had them do a fresh tune with one step colder spark plugs.  Alex, Nick, Bill and Matt do great work and now my car is smoother, faster and more efficient than ever before.  If you're ever in their neighborhood, be sure to stop by, say hello and drool over some of the projects they have going.
driving

That's all for now.
Cheers,
Colin

Nice car, nice color.  What a sleeper.

Re: 06 Aero mt5 - Brownsville, VT

Thanks for all the greetings and  up.   embeer

I have to say, I love how stealth the car is... the only hint people get about what *might* be under the hood is from the scoop.  Ok, that and maybe the boxer rumble/growl.

Boston_errol... he now has a LGT wagon, I believe.  driving

Believe me, it's lots of fun as it is!  But I know from checking out other people's rides that it could look better with less wheel gap...  I wish the big exhaust didn't hang so low  banghead and then I might be considering some STI pink wagon springs.

Don't mind at all.  The dyno tune was $500 and the whole service was about $900 (flushed rear diff, new gear oil, flushed coolant, bled brakes, one step colder spark plugs installed, replaced some misc gaskets and hose clamps).  Dyno map coming...
