Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

no the 06-07 WRX seats are grey/black. the door cards in  06-07 are grey. as you can see mine are not and thats bc they are from an 05. the material the cards are made out of is an exact match to the center of the seats!

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

Picked me up some JDM rain visors and cool Invidia uppipe. Cant wait to put the uppipe on, although im not looking forward to the asspain of putting it in, the spool time should be nice. Found an EJ207 as well that will most likely find its way into the saab. Stage 2 EJ207 should put down some very nice power!

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

arrow-up Just because you put STi parts on your car doesn't mean your JDM. And being JDM is played out because so many people ruined it by being stupid and ordering so called JDM air fresheners off ebay and then acting like it was worth a million bucks. And btw, I believe you stopped by once at the movies to check my wifes saabaru out once.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

mad im pretty sure that i didnt mention one time about stupid air fresheners so where the hell do you get off saying that? But you're right, putting Sti stuff on doesnt make it JDM! But shit from Japan makes the part JDM and considering i didnt just find it randomly on the internet but actually got it in japan means something. So i guess ill stop trying to make a BUILD thread for my 92x seeing as there are just HATERS here and i guess questions that i post up are just ignored and pics of new parts are just hated on. mad

Dude.  The fact that you got no response was actually nice.  Here's how most responses would go:

trunkm0nk3y wrote:

Did you bother going on google?  I googled "how to remove 92x bumper" and here's what I found:

https://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?id=18314
https://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?id=40343
https://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?id=27569

There's even a freaking ehow write up:

http://www.ehow.com/how_7827845_replace … r-92x.html

This is why nobody responded.  If you won't put in the work, nobody else will, either.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

Y so srs, trunk monkey?

Keep in mind the boards have gotten noticeably quieter over the last six months or so. These cars are getting older and many of the regulars have moved on, so it's quite likely very few people have checked out your updates. Doesn't mean people don't like what your doing anymore, it just means you're playing to a smaller audience these days, so we can all expect less feedback, positive or otherwise, when we post nowadays.

Also, no need to take offense to 'Zed's JDM comment. You seem to have missed the Sarcasm Star that indicates he was just being playful. And the air freshener comments were a reference to the fact that the whole 'JDM' thing has come to be associated with tools who get worked up over lightbulbs and air fresheners, so JDM has been cheapened as a result. The term JDM is kinda cliche, basically, but it doesn't mean quality Japanese parts themselves aren't cool.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

I'd love some JDM parts on my 9-2x, that's for sure.

But am I willing to spend big $$$ to replace one intercooler with another, when 99% of folks seeing it won't know/care about what it is and where it came from? No.

So I painted an STi logo on my stock IC. Lame, I know.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

Sorry for going off like i did! i was just pissed with the last comment. I was letting the one by lordzed go but then someone else said something and i got pissed! But sorry!

On another note...I got my headlights cleaned up and refinished for $20 today. They look brand new and they have a 4yr warranty on them  eek! I also made a grounding kit and it turned out great. I used some braided wire that is had a clear covering on it that i got from lowes.

Tomorrow will be a fun day! ill be lowering the saab on those fancy cobb springs i bought from a cat on here, getting an alignment, putting on an STi ac line and then my JDM  unamused STi TMIC and all new intercooler piping.

banana banana banana banana

Oh and btw...that front strut bar that is pictures a few posts up is for a BL/BP legacy not a wrx like i was told it was. So if anyone sees one for sale its for a legacy. I sold it and got my Cusco one that i had to fit.

$20? Who did it? I thought that many of the kits available to do that cost more than that. I'd gladly pay $20 to get my headlights professionally cleared and tag a 4yr warranty on them...

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

What about the brake system? Any upgrades in that department? I'd start paying some serious attention if you plan on upgrading the HP/TQ more. Afterall, what good is all that go-fast and boner suspension if you can't stop it.. Diggin' the car though looks good.

Not yet but that will be very soon. I have a few ideas

-I would like to do some 4pot front brakes...havent really priced out the difference between TT 300zx ones and subaru ones. The subaru ones are pricy
-H6 rear upgrade
-new rotors
-ebc red stuff pads
-SS brake lines
-MBC brace

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

update with some pics. been lowered for a while now on Cobb springs with MachV 1/4" butt spacers. I love it. I also blacked out my trunk badges. I didnt want to just debadge the trunk like a lot of people do so i decided to do it a little different. How do you like it?

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

Looks excellent. My own preference would be to get rid of the pinstripes as I don't tend to like those on any modern vehicle, but they actually don't look bad if you leave em. Looks so much better now that it's lower.

I'm a big fan of the roof rails. All in all your car looks really, really good.  cool

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

yeah the pinstripes are going to be coming off soon. the car will be painted and when that happens the stripes are gone.

I also forgot to mention that all the dents are now gone and the car is smooth. I think that was the thing that i didnt like the most about the car was all the dents and dings. My dent guy is awesome and did some great work!

I made a grounding kit as well a few weeks ago out of some nice gauged wire. I could make some for people for a fair price. I'll get some pictures soon. I could have bought one but the battery location on our cars are different than the subarus so it wouldnt be as good of a fit.

Those badges look awesome. I took mine off, sanded them and painted them flat black... and they are still off. Maybe at some point they will go back on. I am nervous about placing them crooked or something.
