thanks! ill see what I can dig up for you!

As far as the ver7 wheels go, I don't really think they look good on my car with the desert silver and orange brakes. Its just a little too much. My buddy with an 04 red WRX wagon is going to get them off me I think.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

So I installed new headlights over the weekend and got them covered today.  roxor

But tonight was the first night I drove with the new ones and I noticed that they seem to be badly misaligned. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

mikesxrs...OEM

Sooooo....I have decided to start making my car look a little more classy. Eventually I will get it painted and the black on the roof and scoop will be gone...although I am starting to like it. My headlights are no longer blacked out and because of that, I feel my grille shouldnt be either. So here is a teaser of whats to come!

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

I wish...those are $800+ a piece! I stuck with the non hid ones and put new 5000K bulbs in there with and my "old" DDM tuning slim ballasts! Work great. Just need to align them this weekend!

Without any more delay...here is what a body matched grille looks like.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

I like it, but I would keep mine black on Satin Grey and I do like the idea of orange colored brakes/ caliper brackets. Did you use a wrap for the top of the car? I wished I could install my roof rails, but I got an aftermarket sunroof and I got no slides nor holes for the roof rails. sad

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

I like the grille...but the black hood scoop reminds me of when Michael Jackson's nose came off in South Park:

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

The wrap isnt staying forever. Its covering up a faded scoop and a few imperfections on the roof. I want to get her repainted and when that happens itll be gone.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

So I learned a few months back that Desert Silver is the 2nd rarest color on the 92x. Red is the first of course with 10% of all 05 aeros (~358) finished in it and 11% in 06 (~36). Desert Silver was only offered on aeros in 05 and that number was 13%. So roughly 465 05 aeros were finished in DSM. Pretty cool. Wish I knew how many were manuals vs autos.

Re: Ver7 swapped Desert Silver Aero

only had 4 in the past 3 years! but i guess luck. I had the vw 5 spokes that came with the car. I had some rota boosts that i rocked for a while but i traded straight up for the bbs's  biggrin. Then i picked up the ver7 sti wheels from a guy a few hours away. I didnt like how they looked on my car (the gold) so i sold them to a buddy! But thanks for the kind complement! I really appreciate it. I have done a lot of work to it and soon it will be what i wanted it to be from day one of buying it.

On a side note, i finally got around to redoing the trim piece that goes around the back door glass. Mine was turning silver and looked like sh!t. Ive been meaning to do it so I figured it needed to be done before my photo shoot this sat for a calendar.  banana
