Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

I thought the valet key was only used to start the engine. It wont open the glove box.  I dont think it puts the car into a limp mode

It's in the manual slick. Read it.

It involves turning the ignition on and off 4 times or something like that.

Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

Sorry my bad i did not explain in very good detail. My car is stuck in valet mode,  no alarm as in the security light on the dash is blinking 2 times fast, while trying to reprogram a new key fob it somehow entered this mode and it seems to be not allowing me to reset the fob (the on off 10 time sequence) , i have tried searching through the owners manual and on the forums and really have not been able to find a solution. Maybe a manual way to program the fob?

Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

I don't really know, but I would try disconnecting the battery to reset everything in the car.  After the reset, it may no longer be in valet mode.  Then again, maybe it will.  Not sure, but worth a shot.

You are correct about the key itself; he's talking about valet mode which is where you hold down the button on your remote for three seconds which disables the alarm etc

Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

Any luck with this @treshaef.  Looks like I'm a few years late but thought I'd check. I'm having this same issue.

Cheers

Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

Whats up guys, I am new here in 92x, maybe this will help,

VALET MODE ON<>OFF(IF YOUR VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH OPTIONAL SECURITY SYSTEM)
1. OPEN ANY OF THE DOORS OR THE REAR GATE
2. PRESS THE UNLOCK BUTTON
3. PRESS THE UNLOCK BUTTON FOR MORE THAN TWO SECONDS

The indicator light will flash repeatedly>mode ON
The indicator light will stop flashing > mode OFF
Valet mode ON, security function off(Hazard light will not flash when valet mode is on)

Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

You're right, @Batang92x, and my apologies.  As you can tell, the frustration is definitely starting to kick in lol.

This issue deals with exiting valet mode WITHOUT the use of a wireless entry remote.  I am searching for a way to do this in order to program a replacement remote due to haphazardly misplacing my initial remote.  You cannot program a remote while the vehicle is in valet mode, so I need a way to exit valet mode without the use of my lost remote.

Re: Reset valet mode with no key fob?

I shut "Valet Mode" off and it comes right back on again...

Anyone else experience this?
